Introducing our NEW HOMESCHOOL NAME!!!:)

My daughter Morgan was in the kitchen last night and said "hey mom, wouldn't it be cool if we could make an a Crysalis, like a butterfly has?" I said yes it would be! And of course it landed me online researching butterfly stage models..I found a good one by the way that I can't wait to do with them! hehe..

It also got me thinking about how this relates to our transformation in Christ as believers! Before it becomes a butterfly, a caterpillar goes through a growth stage during which it is called a "chrysalis." On the surface it may not look like much is happening, but the delicate chrysalis process changes the fuzzy caterpillar into an awesome butterfly with wings of intricate designs and intense colors. The chrysalis process symbolizes how Christ can transform you into something beyond your dreams. It happens when you grow beyond yourself, opening your life to Jesus' power and love. How awesome is that?!?

And it also lays a beautiful picture of our homeschooling journey..

My children start out as those fuzzy little caterpillars, so full of life, wonder and excitement of the world around them, but have no idea what God has in store for their lives!

And our homeschooling journey filled with life learning experiences, character building, serving others and raising them up to have a heart of Christ acts as their Crysalis process:

Until one day the time will come when they spread their wings of vibrant colors and become that butterfly that radiates to the whole world who God created them to be!!

So it seemed PERFECT to change our homeschool name to The Chrysalis Academy: which is for the years of transformation, it is like the cocoon which surrounds my developing butterflies!!:)
